Seems like mostly neutral if not slightly ahead?

Linebacker was the position I was most concerned with, but Walter’s scheme doesn’t seem nearly as reliant on it as Belichicks was. So maybe not all bad.

Here’s hoping a thin room doesn’t get any skinnier by following Bala

Fingers crossed no other linebackers or OL transfer in the spring window with the recent coaching changes…

It's okay Christian. You can say it. WSU is a G5 school.

We lose Sunserie and Bala. Comments?

Christian, what percentage of our portal departures were encouraged to leave? Or forced to leave?

My sense is that of all the transfers, coaches preferred to keep Dixon, House, Waters and Shaw. Does that mean everyone else was *encouraged* to leave? Not necessarily. But they obviously planned a fairly extensive roster overhaul and needed (and still need) quite a few players to leave. Aside from the four I mentioned, I’m not sure how much effort there was to retain many others.

Why did Thaddeus Dixon leave? He seemed like our best, most instinctive DB.

My read: the staff had planned to add Tacario Davis all along, and stuck to that plan even after the NCAA announced its JUCO waiver. Dixon didn’t want to play a different position (i.e. nickel), so he left.
