'It was just one of those moments where there was great clarity on what I needed to do.'
Shane donated a kidney, which grateful UW booster will be first to donate their Sailgating dock spot to Shane?
This needs an announcement video at the upcoming Spring game. Credit where it's due!

Well done Shane. Truly. Well written Christian. You’re the best in Seattle for sure.
Beautiful story. Heroes do exist.
What an uplifting story!
Great kindness, and a great article as usual. But my favorite part is that those two dudes were watching "The Wedding Singer" as they recovered!
So when the program asks fans what they're willing to donate, they can show that photo of Shane with Nate.
Love the human interest stories, that still have a UW twist. 💜💛
I cried reading this
The best kind of story and story-telling to fit. Thank you for so deftly putting this into words to celebrate and inspire.
This is beautiful, thanks Christian.
Just…..wow! Thanks for bringing us this story Christian. “It’s the big game, the game of life….”
Fantastic!
Tip of the hat to a fellow CWU alum and Husky football diehard (way more of us than most UW grads would ever know). Such a brave and selfless act!!
Best wishes to Nate going forward. One of the greatest (and most charismatic) athletes ever from Seattle and the U-Dub!
That's no small thing. Heart of gold.
Amazing story as always
Oh, man. Tears all over my keyboard, joy and gratitude all over my heart.
any updates on Inside LB Coaching search?
I'm not sure who is going to coach the ILB's. We already have 11 coaches. Our DL coach is the RGC and we have a separate OLB coach, but ILB is not listed as a position behind anyone's name.
They’re going to hire a replacement for Bala. The OLB and ST coaches are not among the “main” 10 assistants.
best husky coverage! the only sub i dont mind paying besides youtube music
