I think DeBoer leaving is a blessing in disguise:

1. He wasn't recruiting very well. There's a chance the UW would have paid an unbelievable fortune for some mediocre seasons.

2. DeBoer is going to win some championships in Bama, but then, unless he can recruit there, he'll end up leaving when Saban's guys are gone in 3-4 years.

3. I think then he'll go to the NFL.

Of course it sucks that he's leaving, but 2024 was likely to be a rebuilding year anyway with so many starters graduating. Let's hope we get a coach who can recruit.

UW was the perfect fit for DeBoer. Can a yankee northerner be successful in the SEC? We will find out. They eat their own down south. I'm watching so many who are so quick to fill out the "I can't blame the guy" chit. The KJR personality had it right. Coaches at this level: "They are all professional liars." We saw this same b.s. with Sarkisian. Remember that? I can't blame Washington fans for being pissed. Being not that much worse than other coaches looking out for themselves doesn't fly for Dawg fans. We thought he was different and would stay. How wrong we all were.

Dylan Morris-

Speaking of high expectations of undying loyalty: how about they build an offense next year around the 4 star qb who dreamed of playing for uw his whole life and stuck through thick and thin?

It’s interesting that Grubb wasn’t negotiated as part of the deal, a la Courtney Morgan. Why not? We can assume DeBoer wants him as OC. Is he holding out for HC at UW...or maybe Michigan? Who’s his agent? LOL
