I like Brock's take... promote his brother Damon to AD. Someone who bleeds purple & can fundraise, especially given 1/2 B10 shares UW is under until 2030. Troy most likely bolted because of family, roots are Cedar Falls, Iowa and not in the cards to raise their 4 kids in Seattle woke-land. I'm also in my 5th decade and you would have to pay me a LOT to go live and work in King County... DA and City Commissioners there are bonkers. No on Chris Peterson, he doesn't have the will to raise $$. And Danny, good joke on Inslee, but yeah let's keep that POS as far away from UW Athletics as possible.

I’m a big fan of the pod and enjoy hearing both of your insights, but Danny, for god sake, please stop laughing maniacally at the most painful aspects of this latest crisis in the UW athletic department. It was the same thing when DeBoer left. There is nothing funny about this. Do you do the same thing at funerals?

You guys are totally missing the most important vacancy in the athletic department. Who's going to be the new marching band director??? We're replacing a guy who was there for thirty years!

Thanks for the pods Christian. Can you edit out Danny laughing at his own takes/jokes? I can’t take it any more.

I heartedly disagree with Danny. Athletic Directors are an integral part of college sports and need full media attention. The AD sets the cultural tone, budgets the money across all the sports, keeps the athletes eligible both scholastically and financially makes sure recruits are eligible and will be able to hold their own at a challenging university, monitors the NIL guardrails and comes up with ways to convince UW athletes from jumping into the portal. You can't just cover the fizz. We have seen what happens when the athletic department slips up.
