The Day After: 28 thoughts on Washington's win over Colorado State

SEATTLE — For the record, I did get home from Washington’s season opener before 3 a.m., parking outside my house at precisely 2:57.

There is little use complaining — as Mark Twain probably once said, “it is what it is” — and I do enjoy the opportunity to settle into the day and spend time with family before heading to the stadium. I don’t relish the back end of these 8 p.m. kickoffs, though.

Know what I do relish? The chance to write my first Day After column of the year.
