The year is 2028

The NCAA has gone 0-85 in lawsuits over the last 12 months

There are now no limits on eligibility

Nor do you have to have ever set foot on campus to play for the team.

Cam Rising is expected to return

And poor Cam gets injured in the second game of the season, for the fifth season in a row.

If all that comes to pass, I’ll no longer watch CFB or support it. Players should attend the school to play in that uniform, unless they graduated and have eligibility remaining. And even then, active in off field booster events.

Getting Dixon back would be huuuge. He could be all BIG10 next year. I hope UW goes hard after him.

Agree. He was very good this season. He made a huge leap from a trail and tackle guy, to a guy who stays in phase. I would think it would come down to how many games as a good corner he has on tape, and if it's enough to get him drafted. If it's only enough to get him a late round pick or UDFA, he should take the UW money and move up.

I don’t see Dixon getting drafted this year. Take the NIL bag and get drafted next.

Getting back both starting CBs from one of the best secondaries in the country could be great for the team, and maybe icing on the cake for recruiting a new DC….?

Merry Christmas Christian to you, your family, and your readers/our Husky community!!!

Thanks Keith! Merry Christmas to you and yours. Except for that no-account Christopher.

I wish even more cardboard upon you next year, Caple.

CC - nice article! What will happen with our DC position? There is so much speculation and it is so strange with SB sticking around right now, while his dad takes Khmori away from us....Is this all to protect people from going in the portal now? It is all very strange.

Some Husky fans have complained about how Fisch isn’t getting the “top” transfer guys… is it possible that he saw/sees the JUCO eligibility ruling coming and factored that into his recruiting? That the guys with JUCO years are essentially “super high-schoolers” that he’d get more time with? I know it’s a stretch (and probably gives him too much prescience), but we do seem to have a lot of JUCO guys…
