Losing Davis is a huge blow. I would be depressed if it wasn't for Johnson's potential. I was rooting for Johnson before, but now I'm having nightly prayer sessions. Just kidding, sort of.
After reading this article, Dillon Johnson is genuinely easy to root for. He seems to be very-well grounded and directed. I really hope he has the type of exceptional season(s?) that anchors the Huskies run game & opens up NFL doors for him.
The Cam Davis injury seems destined to be an important story in the 2023 season. Maybe it will be about Davis having left a hole that nobody else was able to fill. Maybe Dillon or Will or Richard or Sam (or even Tybo?) steps into the vacuum and becomes a star with carries that they never would have seen if Cam was healthy. Maybe Grubb is compelled to improvise with plays and sets that take the offense to a whole new level.
I'm bummed to lose Davis - he looked like he was ready to explode on the field. But now I'm eager to see what happens next.
It's none of our business. We know that it was a violation of team rules for each case - there's nothing fans need to know or should know beyond that. I didn't just make up that rule; it's the way things have operated forever.
I read somewhere that the rumor was curfew violation, and both of them were suspended together, and returned together, because they violated the curfew together.
Time for the coaches to let Richard Newton eat. True dawg

Grubb does not mince words. We might be underestimating the loss of CD.
Wonder how much this impacts Grubb's offensive strategy.

As soon as I read that Cam was out it was hard not to think Tybo would be back quickly. And would you look at that.
Maybe but probably a coincidence.
The insights into the players and who they are, even while providing a depth update, is what makes Christian special as a beat writer
I'm glad Grubb was so forthright but damn.. Hopefully it's not that grim. Still have great depth and a top notch passing game.

We're lucky we got what we did. Petersen wouldn't have said anything
