SEATTLE — Here are 10 things to know about the Washington Huskies on a Wednesday before they conclude nonconference play by hosting Eastern Washington on Saturday.
1. John Mills is still only 18 years old. But the second-year offensive lineman is also a captain and a returning starter, and so Mills is better positioned than most to speak for the team — and especially for the offense, and most especially for the offensive line.
The 6-foot-6, 325-pound left guard echoed some of what position coach Michael Switzer said last week, between the Apple Cup and the Utah State game, and also some of what coach Jedd Fisch said on Monday, after UW’s 16-14 win over the Aggies.
Their issues, Mills said, are “unacceptable.”
But he also believes they are fixable.
