Washington received a commitment on Saturday from one of the highest-rated prospects on its board.
Censere Gaylord, a four-star cornerback from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, announced a commitment to the Huskies over finalists Georgia and Georgia Tech on a CBS Sports livestream.
Auburn also made Gaylord's final four after he had announced a top-six in December that included UW, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Oregon and Tennessee. Gaylord, who played his freshman year at Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany before transferring to the Florida prep powerhouse, reported more than 30 offers total.
Listed at 6-foot and 160 pounds, Gaylord is ranked No. 165 overall in the 247Sports Composite, and becomes the highest-ranked player to commit to UW this cycle. Rivals, 247 and ESPN all consider him a four-star prospect, with 247 ranking him highest, at No. 112 in the class.
He’s the 24th player to commit in UW’s 2027 class, and the 11th composite blue-chipper.
