The Washington Huskies received a commitment on Tuesday from one of their most important recruiting targets in the 2027 class: four-star O’Dea defensive lineman Tevita Nonu.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, Nonu is considered by 247Sports to be the No. 1 prospect in Washington; he’s ranked No. 2 in the 247Sports Composite, behind only Sumner receiver Braylon Pope, who committed to UW in December. Nonu recently released a top-five list that included UW, Michigan, Arizona, Notre Dame and Oregon, and also took an official visit to UCLA over the weekend.

Nonu is the 15th player to commit in Washington’s 2027 class, and the sixth four-star prospect, per the composite, joining four-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava; Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge quarterback Blake Roskopf; Pope; Tustin (Calif.) High defensive lineman Jon Ioane; and Glendale (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Connor tailback Jeremy Adeyanju.

Here is what else to know about the blue-chip defensive lineman.
