10 things to know about Washington's first practice of training camp
There wasn't any scrimmaging, but I have some thoughts on Jedd Fisch's first camp practice at UW.
Washington has so much to learn about its 2024 roster that even coach Jedd Fisch admitted Tuesday: “I really don’t know what our team is going to look like as a collective unit. I’ve just seen a lot of individual players and a lot of individual workouts.”
He finally saw them all together on a somewhat muggy Wednesday morning at Husky Stadium, where the Huskies gathered for their first practice of training camp.
It was a relatively light workout, considering what’s likely to come.
“I’m not looking to make it an easy training camp,” Fisch said Tuesday. “Our goal would be to have seven hours of meetings a day, three hours of practice, an hour of walk-through, three hours of meals and send them home and do it again.”
Here’s what to know from Wednesday’s practice.
