I don't see any of these freshmen playing this year, unless they get lucky and get mop up duty in a blow out win. And that's okay. Like the Dawgfather used to say, the best time to play a freshman is when they are a junior.
I would think most OL and DL during their redshirt season are just their to build up their bodies and learn nutrition. The play learning would seem to be second fiddle. Would never think they would play unless they are just great.
Wow, so many CBs. Looks like overcompensation for last year's difficulties or is it simply "the best athletes available." Regardless, this should be a special year for the Huskies! DC'64
It appears Huff really likes those 6'8" guys. To my eye, they look awkward when they try to drop into ideal football posture, the kind 6'4" Troy Fautanu achieves so easily. But maybe the really tall guys compensate with their reach and mass, even though it doesn't look pretty.
I so want to hear the at Curley Reed is the day 1 starter opposite Muhammed (and not due to injuries). After last year I just want to see a fast, athletic player that can cover and I don't think the answer is in the upperclassmen.
Great write up Christian, I hope Austin pays close attention this year and then wows us next
