Admittedly, I’m still getting a handle on coach Jedd Fisch’s strategy when it comes to whether or not each of his true freshmen might redshirt. You already know he loves to play freshmen. As receivers coach Kevin Cummings put it a couple weeks ago: “Every freshman we bring in, we are anticipating them playing. That’s how we operate.”

That doesn’t necessarily mean they all will, of course. But this spring and training camp made clear the Huskies won’t consider the four-game limit when it comes to at least a handful of their 2024 signees. Here’s how I’d categorize each of the 19 scholarship freshmen who either signed under former coach Kalen DeBoer, or signed with Arizona before following Fisch and his staff to Seattle.

Most unlikely to redshirt
