Duck Fan Interloper, happily subscribed to On Montlake because....wait for it... I AM A READER. I love honest journalism and sports, and it doesn't get any better than what I find here and a few other places. My Kindle is one of my closest friends. I make a point not to 'doom scroll' and I have no time for twitter. And I root for the Huskies whenever they are not playing Oregon :)
me too, I thought it was really fair and accurate, though at the same time depressing. oh well. we are all here at On Montlake for the same reason, there are actual readers out there . . .
I always look forward to reading your posts. It's refreshing to read your insights and observations without the taste of someone trying to sell me on something. Thank you for your great work.
Congratulations, Christian. You're a pro and a pleasure to read. I'm looking forward to following the Huskies as Jed Fisch continues to define the program in his vision. My gut tells me he's going to be a success at Washington.
Love the site and all the great insights. I’d love to see stories here and there outside of football. I really want to follow the basketball teams more, but struggle with time to actually watch games and coverage is scarce. Also occasional human interest stories on Olympic athletes would really help fill some offseason content while giving readers something else to chew on.
Thank you for your good work, Christian. I have really enjoyed being a paid subscriber and reading your work over the last year (and the podcast). I also smiled when you said “Costco’s finest garments”. I am part of that club as well. Where else can you find $19 callaway golf t-shirts and $20 dress shirts which are the same quality as brooks brothers (or better). 😀
How can I buy a hat like that? Seriously.
Likewise!
How are you feeling? I admire what you did for Nate. I'm also an RB grad; 1972. I think that was before Nate was born. :) All the best.
Doing great! Back to work. Just have lifting restrictions. Thanks for asking.
You're the man, Shane.
Doesn’t event mention it. Quite rude.
Always appreciate your writing and perspective Christian! Grateful to have you covering the Dawgs

+1 for Congrats, Christian! I'm glad this is working for you, because your writing is worth supporting.
I got a shoutout, which is the most important thing here. Congrats, Christian! Well deserved success, glad to see it going strong still.
I appreciate your description of our social media world. [I'll leave at that.] Go Dawgs!

Appreciate you Christian! Your coverage and writing keep us all grounded in reality. Oh, and “bullshit economy” is brutally accurate terminology!

My go to source of Husky content. Appreciate you!!
Agree 100% with Evan’s comments. Your skillful writing and measured perspective are rarely seen these days but much appreciated.
Congrats, pal.

We’re partial to the little spoon yogurt smoothie pouches, if you ever need to mix it up.
Congrats on year two! Like you said, this has consistently been great coverage of my favorite thing.
