Cannot include Zags as a UW rival, especially as a true hoops fan. What they've accomplished is astounding! They started at Loyola of Chicago "Sister Jean" out of nowhere NCAA run - and everyone loved 'em!!! Now, can we be jealous?? Yes. Should we strive to surpass the Zags? Yes. Do I root for the Zags like I do Oregon State - want them to win every time they aren't playing UW? Also yes. Me and Dick Fain, I guess???
As a lifelong dawg fan, Cowlitz County born and raised whose father worked at the Cloverdale shop for 30 yrs and whose aunt lived in South Kelso I enjoyed this pod just a little more than usual. Cheers
Gonzaga isn't even in the same stratosphere of hate and vitriol I have when compared to Oregon. No where close for me.
I dislike Gonzaga for a couple weeks. I loathe Oregon always and forever.
