Great to have you guys back - y'all bring a pretty perfect blend of irreverence and insight for mostly regional sports, but also giving context with the national sports perspective.

I will say I'm a little surprised that two writers with so many years of accomplishment never learned what "platform" means in the world of publishing (as well as in entertainment and elsewhere). No, Danny, a person's "platform" is not synonymous with their collective social media platforms. Their platform is the congregate of what gives that person power, standing, authority, and reach in their milieu. So if Tiger Woods writes a book about golf, the fact that he's won 15 majors is actually part of his platform regardless of how many followers he has on Twitter. An author might pitch a recipe book to publishers without having a huge social media following, but if part of her platform is that she's been the chef for 5 U.S. presidents she might actually sign a good book deal. Aaaand, you might not care, haha.
