Anxious for the new season and the Big 10 competition to commence.

GO DAWGS

For unknown reasons, I love depth chart stories. Two thoughts: Voi Tunuufi, though small, should play inside. He's very quick, but lacks the lateral movement an edge rusher needs. He's a straight-line mover. And Kamren Fabiculanan, who appears to be an instinctive playmaker, lacks speed. On one play last season, he and Carson Bruener were chasing a guy down the sideline. Bruener started behind Fabiculanan, passed him, and made the tackle. Bruener is really fast, but I wouldn't expect a linebacker to run past a DB.

That's a little depressing after the enjoyment last season provided. Next season will be a year of gaining experience for the current roster.

DB room overall is better than last year. RB room is better than last year. LBs are the same. Wouldn't call it depressing at all.

I don’t disagree with you on those three positions, and I would also add portions of special teams. However, being solid to good at four of nine positions is not a recipe for success moving into the B1G. I think we’re going to need a year or two to be competitive with the top half of the new league.

The good news is I think the new staff is going to be very good at recruiting. That makes me hopeful for the future.

The other positions are just unknowns now. Good be very good. We should be 5-0 going into Michigan game.

Devin Culp just ran a 4.47 at the combine. Whoa! And the announcers said he had caught the ball well too. Good for you, Devin. You made yourself some money!

The guy I want to see rise on the depth chart is safety Tristan Dunn (6'4 197). Watching his high school and Husky snaps, it's clear he's a big athletic thumper. The previous staff talked a lot about how talented he was. Maybe I'm missing something, but he looks like the player we thought Asa Turner was going to be.

Tybo was a disappointment besides his performance at MSU (I was there), where he looked amazing. He can't pick a blitz and can't seem to catch the ball before he goes up the field, same as Nixon. I hope we can coach him up a lot better. Nixon, Sam Adams, Ngata should probably go to Incarnate Word or schools like that.

Tell me you aren't a Husky fan without telling me you aren't a Husky fan. You're slamming on a guy that was a true freshman that didn't play much. Slamming on another the is good though not great. And show you didn't watch Huskies much if you don't see where Ngata helped the team.

I went to five games (Michigan State, both Oregon games, both CFP games) and not only watched every game but recorded and re-watched them. Ngata returns kicks and has never gotten past midfield. Nixon, a WR turned RB, had crucial drops, including in the CFP final and Tybo played well once and is RB3 going into next year. What part of what I wrote is incorrect?

Seriously? Huskies avg 20.7 yds on kickoff returns. Ngata avg 23.3 yds he was 45th in attempts. 43rd in yards. Of the returners ahead of him there were 12 that had a better avg. His longest was 41 yds. He didn't even start returning kicks till 2/3 through the season.

Again Tybo was a true freshman. He will probably be 3rd string depending on Davis doesn't mean he isn't or won't be a good player. Btw don't care what games you were at...don't have to be at them to support the team or know anything about them.

If I didn't love and support this team, I would not be a subscriber to On Montlake. I also wouldn't be getting on planes from Tampa, Florida, all over the country to see the team I have loved since Dec 25, 1982, then they won on a last second TD and I fell in love with all things P&G, at the age of 8. I bleed the P&G as much as anyone. if you don't agree with my opinion that is fine, but insulting me and questioning my allegiance?? YOU ARE DEAD WRONG.

Tim Larson's avatar

Steve, didn't you start the insults by saying, "Nixon, Sam Adams, Ngata should probably go to Incarnate Word or schools like that"?

Or Maybe Steve should go be a fan of incarnate world, we support our teenagers who choose to come here to our university instead of recommending they transfer.
