SEATTLE — Come Monday, presumably, the Washington Huskies will release their first depth chart of the 2026 season.
Which means it’s about time to publish my own projection.
There always is a difference or two (or more) between my post-camp best guess and what the coaches actually settle on, and of course there will be variation between whatever UW releases and what you see on the field in the first game.
After watching three weeks of practices, though, here’s how I see it playing out. Rather than a traditional two-deep with a straight starter/backup format, I’ll try to present the roster in a manner more reflective of how it might actually be deployed during a game.
