Washington spring practice, Day 3: Jordan Washington says he's 'all good' after scary injury

SEATTLE — A beautiful day for football practice at the University of Washington ended with something you never want to see.

Third-year sophomore running back Jordan Washington was injured during an 11-on-11 period (I didn’t see exactly how), and medical staff soon surrounded him on the sideline. He was eventually placed on a backboard and immobilized as an airhorn sounded three times to signify the end of practice, the first of spring with players in pads.

Washington eventually was taken via ambulance for what a spokesperson described as precautionary testing. In more encouraging news, he was conscious and responsive and had movement in all his extremities, and later tweeted that he was “all good.” I'll update his status when the Huskies return to practice next week.

Saturday’s action was fairly spirited otherwise. Here’s what else to know from sun-splashed Husky Stadium.
