What to know from a lively Saturday at Dempsey Indoor.

Washington spring practice, Day 6: Lots of 11-on-11 highlights

SEATTLE — Beneath a large banner proclaiming “Sundays Start Here,” the left side of Dempsey Indoor’s north end zone saw much celebrating on Saturday afternoon.

First, Demond Williams Jr. completed a 1-yard fade to freshman receiver Jordan Clay against tight coverage from sophomore cornerback Dylan Robinson, and Clay’s offensive teammates responded by mobbing him. They repeated that journey a while later, when Stanford quarterback transfer Elijah Brown completed a 19-yard touchdown to Justice Williams, thrown right on target over the head of freshman defensive back Ksani Jiles.

Though it didn’t result in a score, Kini McMillan’s 26-yard completion to freshman Trez Davis up the same sideline prompted similar revelry, Davis leaping to clutch the pass while using his body to shield the ball from cornerback Elias Johnson.

The Washington Huskies ran more than 80 plays in various 11-on-11 formats on Saturday, their most extensive (and spirited) team action of the spring.

Here’s what to know about who stood out.
