As for HS NIL, I don’t see the problem from the high schools themselves but rather universities and boosters wanting to get the inside track on athletes as they make their decision
People keep saying “this year’s schedule is easier.” I really disagree. We didn’t win a single road game last year and so we obviously have to turn that around significantly.
Now we get the hard games at home but we’re underdogs in at least 2 if not 3 home games.
It sets up well if we’re good enough to beat the Marylands, Wisconsins, UCLAs, etc of the world regardless what stadium we’re in, this schedule sets us up really well. And I think we are. But I think last year’s team MAYBE wins 5 games with this schedule.
This year’s team easily wins 8 on last years schedule, but 8 would be our ceiling. Our ceiling is higher this year because of the schedule, but the floor is also lower because of the schedule.
I'm sad to learn Pizza Ragazzi is gone. The time call special was a fantastic deal.
