I also thoroughly enjoy the image is a pissed off IP searching through the play by plays lol, and I also had unconsciously noted this habit to not be aggressive on second and short. I'm wondering if it is an effort by Jedd to appear to be playing 3D chess - "opponents think I will throw, so if I run, maybe I can rip off a huge gain".
On the lack of defense QB pressures - is this a feature not a bug of the style/philosophy Walters is using for D?
Props to IP for addressing Jedd trying to overthink things, especially on 2nd down, and missing the whole point of putting his team (and QB) in best position to win game. His 2nd down playcalling or play selection/positioning has been so maddening.
As you guys noted, Michigan put their QB (and team) in best position to win (or not lose).
